What is Nandrolone Phenylpropionate (NPP)?
Nandrolone Phenylpropionate was the first nandrolone ester introduced for medical use in 1959. It was primarily used to treat female breast cancer and osteoporosis, and later became one of the most widely used nandrolone esters among bodybuilders. Although NPP was widely used in the medical field in the past, its use has largely ceased and has been replaced by Nandrolone Decanoate (Deca Durabolin), a longer-acting and more convenient form of Nandrolone. Both esters of Nandrolone remain very popular in the bodybuilding community.

NPP Durabolin 150 is the shorter Nandrolone ester, meaning it has a half-life of about 4 days, compared to 14 days for Nandrolone Decanoate (Deca). This means that NPP needs to be injected much more frequently than Deca to keep serum levels stable. NPP is also one of the least androgenic steroids on the market, being more anabolic relative to testosterone. NPP has an anabolic/androgenic rating of 125/37, with less estrogenic activity. Both nandrolone and testosterone aromatize, but nandrolone aromatizes at about 20% the rate of testosterone.

The many benefits of NPP include: improved endurance and recovery, increased red blood cell and glycogen replenishment, reduced joint pain, increased protein synthesis, nitrogen retention and IGF-1 production, suppression of cortisol, increased collagen synthesis and bone mineral content, and the ability to gain and maintain lean muscle mass. It is believed that nandrolone esters are the most commonly used AAS by bodybuilders and elite athletes looking to improve their physique and performance. This is likely due to its low propensity for androgenic and estrogenic side effects, making it suitable for both male and female athletes. Although NPP is unlikely to cause masculinizing side effects such as hair loss, acne, deepening of the voice, or additional body/facial hair, female users must be aware of possible masculinizing effects and discontinue use immediately if symptoms occur.

What is the recommended dose?

The recommended dose of NPP varies from person to person. We believe that a reasonable dose for most athletes is 100-400 mg per week for males for a typical cycle of 8-12 weeks. It should not be taken for more than 16 weeks. To minimize masculinizing effects, female users should not take more than 50 mg per week for a maximum of 6 weeks.

To achieve maximum benefit, users should inject 2-3 times per week.

What does NPP stack well with?

For men, it is recommended to add NPP with a testosterone base such as Test Enth, Cyp, or Sustanon in a ratio of approximately 60% testosterone, 40% NPP. It can be further supplemented with oral anabolic steroids such as Dianabol, Anadrol, Turinabol, or Anavar to maximize gains in size and strength. Due to the addition of testosterone, concurrent use of anti-estrogens is recommended. There is no recommended combination for women.
